Monday nights screening was a huge success… In case you missed it here is a new Operation Catsuit video to make up for it. Video #5 is at the Brooklyn Museum.
Visited this show today… “Mars’ Planet” Leah Tinari
Mixed Greens Gallery, 531 W26th St., NYC “Tinari is best known for capturing spirited scenes of celebratory friends and family. For this exhibition, Tinari’s recently shifted perspective focuses on the impact childrearing has on her surroundings. Tinari’s paintings, drawings, and occasional installations result from the daily hilarity and unique circumstances experienced while raising a child in New York City.” Up - thru July 3
Looking @ inspiration for next collection. As an inspiring icon, I think @Miss_GraceJones is everything #ThrowbackThursday
Am I insulting @obia_thethird if I admit publicly that I aspire to own one of her unfinished owrks one day? I kinda #love this.
There is something about this picture that is cheesy BUT there also something about it that I absolutely love!
Sometimes my re-blogs just capture my mood perfectly. Awesome—-inezandvinoodh: Lara Stone – Azzedine Alaïa, 2007
In Stranger Visions, a project by Heather Dewey-Hagborg, the artist worked with biologists at Genspace to create 3D printed portraits based on DNA samples taken from objects found on the streets of Brooklyn. (objects such as chewed gum) Some find this creepy but I think this all equals amazing art.
